Am vergangenen Mittwoch durfte ich bereits zum zweiten Mal die Show meines Lieblingslabels während der Pariser Fashion Week live erleben. Wie auch das letzte Mal fand die Show im eigens dafür errichteten Zelt im Cour Carrée des Louvre statt. Fast so spannend wie die Kollektion an sich ist auch Saison für Saison die beeindruckende Kulisse. Man erinnere sich an das Karussell vor eineinhalb Jahren, den Zug in der letzten Wintersaison, oder die Rolltreppen bei meiner ersten Show. Dieses Mal ließ Marc Jacobs uns mit dem Setting in ein Luxushotel versetzen.
Die Gäste saßen nicht um den Runway, sondern auf einer Art Podest, um das sich der Laufsteg in Form eines Hotelkorridors mit geheimnisvollen Türen und opulenten Tapeten schwung. Auch die Gästeliste war wieder sehr ansehnlich, und so saßen die Schauspielerinnen Jessica Chastain, Naomi Watts, Lily Collins und Elizabeth Olsen in der Front Row.
Da die Show von Louis Vuitton die letzten Male wirklich auf die Sekunde genau startete, saß ich dieses Mal bereits um halb 10 gespannt auf meinem Platz und gönnte mir Pancakes und ein Glas Champagner, das die Kellner im Hotelpagen-Look servierten. Dabei blätterte ich in der Pressemappe und blieb bei der Beschreibung von Look 50 hängen, neben dem der Vorname „Kate“ stand. Bereits mehrmals lief Kate Moss als Abschlussmodel für das Label, und ich war unglaublich gespant, ob ich die Modelikone wirklich einmal live auf dem Runway erleben dürfte.
Um Punkt 10 Uhr wurde das Licht gedämmt, ein Piano begann zu spielen und das erste Model öffnete eine der Türen, um nach einer Umrundung des Runways wieder darin zu verschwinden. Im Sekundentakt öffneten sich neue Türen und Topmodels wie Lindsey Wixson, Cara Delevingne und Georgia May Jagger betraten mit schwarzen Perücken den Runway. Nachdem sich Marc Jacobs in der letzten Saison mit der Kollektion ganz dem ikonischen Damier-Muster des Hauses verschrieben hatte, setzte er für den Winter 2013 auf sehr luxuriöse Materialien, die einzigartig in den Louis Vuitton Ateliers bearbeitet wurden. Ganz im Stil der Grand Hotel Ära mit viel Pelz und einem verführerischen Boudoir-Look. Neben glänzenden Seiden-Negligées sahen wir bestickte Morgenmäntel, Pyjamas, feine Wäsche und transparente Spitzenkleider. Teilweise unter langen Persianermänteln oder karierten Modellen, deren unterer Teil in funkelnde Steine oder Federn getaucht war. Bei den Taschen setzte der Designer auf drei ikonische Formen: Die Speedy, Lockit und Pochette Accessoires, besetzt mit außergewöhnlichen Texturen wie zum Besipiel eingedrehten Gänsefedern.
Meine Highlights: Ein verführerisches Spitzenkleid, das Isabeli Fontana präsentierte, Mäntel und Blazer mit paillettenbesetztem Saum und natürlich Kate Moss, die in einem bodenlangen Spitzenkleid die Show schloss. Das Highlight NACH der Show im Backstagebereich konntet ihr ja bereits hier sehen ….

Last Wednesday it was the second time that I was privileged to get to watch the show of my favorite label during the Parisian Fashion Week. As last time, the show took place in a separate tent at the Cour Carrée of the Louvre. The scenery is as suspenseful as the collection itself. Just remember the carrousel of one and a half years ago or the train of last winter season, or the escalators of my first show. This time, Marc Jacobs designed the setting as a luxurious hotel. Visitors did not sit around the runway, but on a kind of a platform that was surrounded by the catwalk as kind of a hotel corridor. This had mysterious doors as well as extravaganza wallpapers. Also the guest list has been very eulogizing since actress Jessica Chastain and Naomi Watts as well as Lily Collins and Elizabeth Olsen sat in the front row.
Last shows of Louis Vuitton started right on time so that this time I already sat excitingly on my seat at half past nine whilst enjoying pancakes and champagne which has been served by the waiter who looked like a bellboy. Thereby, I was reading the press kit and get caught by the description of look 50 named Kate. Several times already Kate Moss has been the closure for Louis Vuitton and I got elusively excited whether I really get to see this fashion-icon live on the runway.
Right at 10 am they dimmed the light, the pianist started to play and the first model entered through one of the doors so as to disappear in it again after one walk on the runaway. Every second a new door opened and top models like Lindsay Wixson, Cara Delevingne and Georgia May Jagger entered the runway with their black wigs.
Since Marc Jacobs made use of the iconic Damier design for the last season, he now makes use of very luxury materials which have been worked on in the unique Louis Vuitton ateliers for winter season 2013. A lot of fur and tempting Boudoir – Look, just like the style of the Grand Hotel era.
Next to shiny silk negligees we got to see embroidered bathrobes as well as pajamas and delicate lingerie fashion. Further, we got to see transparent lace dresses, partly under long Persian lamb coats or otherwise under checked models with glittering stones or feathers as border. The designer made use of three iconic shapes for his bags, called Speedy, Lockit and Pochette accessoires. Bags were decorated with exceptional textiles such as goose quills which were turned in.
My highlights were the following: A tempting lace dress, which was presented by Isabeli Fontana, coats and blazer with a sequined hem and certainly Kate Moss who closed the show with a full-length lace dress. You could already see the highlight AFTER the show in the backstage area over here…
